I also attended the medina county career center where I was elected class president of the Software Engineering lab, learned many languages and key skills, and competed nationally in SQL for Business Professionals of America. Developed a website for the Medina County Health Department, Living Well Medina County, a community health initiative that brings together organizations and communities to improve health in Medina County. Used ClearImpact and data from the Medina County Community Health Assessment to visualize health needs and priorities.
A full stack project: Responsive weather app providing real time forecasts, temperature, and severe weather alerts using APIs from the National Weather Service, using Node.js for the server side and React/Vite for the front end.
Competed in Business Professionals of America, focusing on SQL, SQL Server, and Database design. Along with my Database Enterprise class, studying and learning for my competition greatly improved my SQL skills and knowledge of databases. I won 1st locally, placed 4th in the state competition and qualified for nationals where I competed in Florida against students from across the US and even other countries including China.
A Java Ping Pong Game built in Apache Netbeans using Java as the foundation, JavaFX APIs to build the UI, and Maven for easy project management. Originally built in fall semester of 2024 for a Java Programming class, but was redesigned and improved in 2025.
